Any comments or opinions about the newest additions to Dylan Cover Albums?
I like them all, but I'm easily pleased Laughing

Valdemar's Saving Grace is excellent. I'm partial to the gospel-era songs anyway, so it was an easy sell.

Monti Beton's album features several different vocalists, it holds my interest throughout.

Mikael Wiehe & Ebba Forsberg sounds great, despite the fact I don't understand the language.

Visit Dylan Cover Albums for details of these releases.
Thanks to all who informed me about these releases.

Dylanovky?
Wakui sings Dylan?

Either:
a) Nobody is reading this Forum, and I'm talking to myself...
or
b) Everybody else has stopped collecting and hasn't heard these...
or
c) "If You can't say something nice, don't say anything" Laughing

I any case, this is a good example of why I don't offer any rating system on DylanCover.com, as has often been suggested.
I have always felt that it is unfair to offer ratings based solely on my own opinion. Being a collector, I can usually find something worthwhile in almost any release and so would not be sufficiently critical. I think any rating system would have to include either some form of voting (which if public would be open to abuse,) or the input of others (perhaps some sort of volunteer committee,) which would be impossible or difficult judging by the lack of response here.

Actually, in my case :

D) none of the above.

Nothing to say about those releases simply because I haven't heard them.
The collecting bug is as big as ever, but covers are definitely low priority items with me....too busy collecting the man's many & varied official worldwide releases.

I think rating records/music is pointless....by what criteria?
Musicianship vs. feel (energy?).....Abba vs. Led Zeppelin?
Covers : innovative/experimental vs. identical to the original?

"Nothing to say about those releases simply because I haven't heard them."

Same here. The number of covers is SO big and there are so many new releases - not to forget the older ones that I'm still missing.... I can't manage to be up to date...
