Anyone know the original source of a cover of
Mr. Tambourine Man by
Lost Angels?
It's on several country compilations, including
Back In The Old Country and the one I have,
The Country Outlaws: The Bad Side of Country.
The other tracks are archival tracks from Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and other well-known and lesser-known country stars, and also a few tracks from early rockers Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, & Gene Vincent. I assume Lost Angels is also an archival track, but I can't find any info about it. There is no source info with the CD I have.
It's a mellow version with male harmony vocals, like The Byrds without the jangle.
I thought it might be from the 1989 movie
Lost Angels, MTM does appear in the film's credits, but it's not on the soundtrack. So... I searched out the movie, and only a few seconds of MTM are sung sing-a-long style at a house party... so it's not a match.
Any info, leads or theories?
